A Welcome
Radnor House is London’s new co-educational independent day school in Twickenham, located in stunning historic buildings on the banks of the River Thames in South West London. Formerly the site of Alexander Pope’s mansion where he entertained the literary elite of his day, the buildings have been transformed into a school combining a sense of history with the latest educational provision. In excess of one million pounds has been invested into the latest IT facilities and the fabric of the building, providing an outstanding environment for our students.
Students are admitted into the Preparatory and the Senior School and detailed information is available on the admissions page of this website.
We have created an outstanding environment in which our students are nurtured and cared. The school operates small class sizes and parents always have a warm welcome and are made to feel at ease to discuss the progress of their sons and daughters. Our aim is that Radnor House will, in the very short term, be amongst the leading independent schools not just in London but nationally. A dedicated team of teachers led by a hugely experienced Head and Deputy Head will ensure that there is a perfect mix of experience and dynamism to bring out the best in our students and ensure that we are constantly celebrating every individual.
The excellent environment in which our students receive their education consists of three specialist laboratories, an Art suite overlooking the Thames, well equipped specialist classrooms, a Music school housed in the converted Chapel with integral rehearsal rooms for individual instrumental tuition, a theatre and a well equipped library with adjoining learning resource centre, all complemented by a wing housing the Preparatory school. Externally there is an all weather play area and we are fortunate to have extensive use of the outstanding sporting facilities at St. Mary’s University College with whom we have a special relationship. The facilities of nearby ‘Thames Young Mariners’ Club’ enable us to make best use of the river which is accessed from our own mooring.
Student dining takes place in the Riverside Bistro with the aim being to focus on healthy eating with a cosmopolitan flavour. Parents have their own Riverside Terrace Cafe just off the main Reception area of Radnor House where they can socialise with other parents or mingle with staff on an informal basis.
